Appending Version Numbers to AppNames

We decided that we want to put version numbers on the app names.  I like <EnableSideBySide>true, but the problem there is that it also renames the receive locations, and we have jobs set up to enable/disable receive locations by name based on a schedule.

I tried add _1.1 to the Project name in the BTDF file, but then the deploy failed, I'm guessing I would have to make the binding file match.  Is there some switch you have that will suffix the app-name without suffixing the port names?

Thanks,

Hi Neal,

When EnableSideBySide is false, then the ProjectName is just used as the BizTalk app name, so I cannot think of a reason why adding _1.1 to ProjectName would affect anything (you can use anything you like for the name).  There is no switch like you are describing, but you can achieve similar behavior -- you can explicitly name the app by including the property <BizTalkAppName>YourAppName</BizTalkAppName> in your .btdfproj.

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks Tom,  that's working fine.
