Hi everyone,

I tried to install BTDF 5.5 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 64-bit machine with BizTalk Server 201 and Visual Studio 2010 installed.

First I tried the 'complete' option and when this had no effect ( neither the tools nor the Project Template seemed to be installed ) I had a look at the 'custom' option.

There are the the points for "Visual Studio 2010 Integration" and "ESB Toolkit 2.1 Integration" missing ( saw it in the Installation section of the documentation ).

Do you have any hints on how to install BTDF properly?

Many thanks,

Hi David,

WiX looks to the registry to determine if Visual Studio is installed, and if so, what version. I believe it looks to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0, probably SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft on your 64-bit machine. It doesn't seem to be finding that in your case. Is this a fresh install of VS 2010, and are you running under the same user account that installed it? You might need to repair VS2010.

Thanks,
Tom
