Hi,

I need to create a custom directory structure during deployment and make it shared. How can I achieve this in BTDF?

Thanks,

Could you please provide more specifics?  In general, if you need to build a specific directory structure and have it exactly packaged into your MSI, then you'll use a custom target named CustomRedist.  Inside, you can create directories and copy files to build up your directory structure.  You'll find an example of this in the HelloWorld sample app.  When it comes to the server deployment, if you need to duplicate that directory structure somewhere outside of the installation folder, you can use standard MSBuild tasks inside a target named CustomDeployTarget (and a matching CustomUndeployTarget).

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

As part of server deployment, I have to duplicate the directory structure outisde the installation folder and make it shared. I sure will try MSBuild scripts.

Thanks,

One clarification: I failed to state that the various custom targets that I mentioned all go into your .btdfproj.
