log4net.Ext.Serializable and .net 4.0

Hi, sorry for slight off topic question,

In the latest  V5 kit , in the Framework\Deploytools,  there is  Scott Colestock's log4net.Ext.Serializable. However it seems to be a .net 2.0 version clr v2.0.50727). The version of log4net I have is for .net 4. There are web rumors of a net 4 version but i've been unable to track it down)

Is log4net.Ext.Serializable still required, i.e. is  the latest log4net serializable now?

thanks

Hi Mark,

We've never produced a log4net.Ext.Serializable.dll specifically for log4net 1.2.11.  I'd guess that it is still not serializable since there is no mention in the release notes.  The source code for log4net.Ext.Serializable is included in the Deployment Framework source, so you could certainly rebuild it against 1.2.11.

Thanks,
Tom
