Hi, just installed the latest BTDF 5.0 on a Win 2012 box and in Visual Studio 2012 I don't see any of the BTDF artifacts (no BTDF project type, nothing showing up on menus, nothing available in add-in manager).  I did confirm the program is installed via Control Panel/Programs&Features and all the binaries appear to be in the usual install folders.  Any clues?

Unless you are using the BizTalk 2013 CTP, you won't see any BizTalk artifacts in VS 2012 either.  BizTalk 2010 and BTDF 5.0 are both VS 2010.  Once BizTalk 2013 is in some kind of beta and more people are using it, I'll have to see how it will impact the Deployment Framework overall and will support it in a future release.

tom, is it possible to get my hands on the early release of 5.1?  Our platform is pretty tied to BTS 2013, VS 2012 and with several developers on the same dev environment, we are not able to go back to BTS 2010/VS 2010.

There is no code beyond 5.0 at this time, but I'll see what I can do as far as enabling the current add-in for VS 2012.  Any number of other things could have issues with BTS 2013 CTP.  There is an XML file DFBTVisualStudioAddIn.AddIn that has a list of acceptable HostApplication's.  You should have that installed on your machine.  You can try adding VS 2012 (11.0 probably) and copying the add-in files to the VS 2012 addins folder and see what happens...

great, I will try that, if that doesn't work, we will just shelve the BTDF for about 6 months and check back.

thanks for all your hard work on this framework, great stuff from all I have read - one of the guys on our team has used the prev version as well and loves it.

Thanks for the tips above! I'm working with Win2012, VS2012, BTS2013, SQL2012

Has anyone gotten the BTDF Project Type to show? What did you do?
